SOPA and CISPA; Google those terms if you are not aware of them. In this awesome age of information; the rapid sharing of idea’s and knowledge, you can be sure your government will do everything in its power to control and regulate it. You think you are FREE, but you are not. Censoring of the WWW is a disastrous idea and we simply cannot allow it.
This is the fifth data set that we’ve released. And just like every other time before, we’ve been asked to take down political speech. It’s alarming not only because free expression is at risk, but because some of these requests come from countries you might not suspect—Western democracies not typically associated with censorship.

Per Google’s own BLOG
In one incident cited in the report, a U.S. law enforcement agency asked Google to take down a blog that “allegedly defamed a law enforcement official in a personal capacity.” The company did not comply with that request.
Like other technology and communications companies, Google regularly receives requests from government agencies and courts around the world to hand over user data. In this report, we disclose the number of requests we receive from each government in six-month periods with certain limitations.
The UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT is the biggest perp here; the most requests and the most complied with. When I think of Internet censorship, I think of Russia, China and Middle East Countries. But why am I not surprised.
By the way, Ron Paul is THE ONLY candidate against any censorship of the WWW. Think about it.
