I Took An Oath

I hear much too often, that people like Ron Paul on his economic policy but they disagree with his Military Policy.  First, they are one in the same.   We simply cannot afford our adventures overseas.  It really is that simple if you can’t wrap your head around the morality of it all; nation building, undeclared and unsustainable wars, lies from our government as to why we are there.   We simply cannot afford our current expenditures overseas.

People also seem to get very confused with Defense Spending and Military Spending.   They are not one in the same.  Military Spending is directly related to our wars and 800 + bases overseas.  Defense spending of course, is on our National Defense.   Ron Paul supports a strong National Defense and would go to war if our National Defense was in jeopardy and of course, only with a Declaration of War.

That is the Constitutional way.   I saw this posted over at Facebook via Antonio Buehler

I Took An Oath

Think about it.

Something I heard Dr. Paul say that really struck a chord with me was, and I paraphrase, that ‘Liberty is not a menu, where you order only that which you can stomach’.

Liberty thrives when it is the foundation of a society (markets, the individual, trade and foreign policy).
